MLLS0401 - The Maine
Learning Technology Initiative: An Exploratory Study of the Impact of
Ubiquitous Technology on Student Achievement
Looks at MEAs over 3 years and compares
students from the 9 Exploration Sites to students from the remaining
200+ middle schools. Exploration Site students seem to have
outperformed other students in science and math. (PDF 232 KB)
MLLS0402 - Student Home
Access and the Digital Divide:An Exploratory Analysis of Laptop
Computer Access with Take-Home Privileges Versus Restrictions to Use
Only in School
The question of whether students (from one
MLTI school) without computer access at home would exhibit lower (less
positive) attitudes and skills was explored. Findings imply that having
some students granted permission to take their laptops home while
others are not, may in fact perpetuate the digital divide. (PDF 192 KB)
