Evaluation
Framework for 1-to-1 Computing - From the
Ubiquitous Computing Evaluation Consortium. An evaluation framework can
help to organize people's thinking and thus guide individual
evaluations and / or the development of a research agenda. The
evaluation framework shown here is based in part on other frameworks
and in part on discussions that have been carried out as one component
of this National Science Foundation sponsored project in which a
consortium of researchers from various institutions, each of which is
involved in studying 1:1 computing, are meeting to share findings and
discuss planned activities. Includes "Critical Featuers," "Intermediate
Outcomes," and "Ultimate Outcomes."

One-to-One
Laptops in a High School Environment - Just as the
middle school in Guilford Maine was the first middle school to have
one-to-one wireless laptops for all their students, the high school in
Guilford is also ahead of the rest of the state in one-to-one
computing. This is the first of several research reports that will come
from the Mitchell Institute and the Great Maine Schools Project
evaluating the impact of laptops to Guilford's high school students and
teachers.Surveys and data collection tools listed in an appendix.
Institute for the
Integration of Technology into Teaching and Learning - housed at the University of North Texas, is chartered by the
UNT Council of Deans to conduct research and implement best practices
in the area of teaching and learning with technology. It has a
well-developed and tested, online data collection system that currently
collects data from thousands of educators participating in a
collaborative data sharing program. Below are two of their online books
of data collection tools.

eMINTS - enhancing
Missouri's Instructional Networked Teaching Strategies - transforms elementary classrooms into places for learning
where teachers and students use multimedia tools to better understand
the world, work together and achieve at new and higher levels. The
eMINTS evaluation was featured as a model program at the State
Educational Technology Directors Association (SETDA) "National
Leadership Institute on Evaluation" in December 2002. Below are links
to some of their survey tools.
